talk to me elsewhere:
the name's arantxa,
and i always loved creating stuff.
would it be toys, stories, fanfiction, drawings, embroidery, ceramics... you name it and i'd be doing it at some point in my life.
i like making things because it's a way to make sense of my mind while connecting to other people — gifting handmade art to my friends, writing someone a story, building a world of my own where i have the power to shape it as i figure out what i actually want to make.
now, i'm a product designer with 6+ YOE, based in são paulo, brazil. i have worked as a graphic designer, but really found my delight in making digital products that solve everyday problems.
when working on a product, i like to be involved in multiple processes; from its definition, involving research and data analysis, to testing concepts with the users and collaborating with PMs and engineers to deliver the best possible solution. i believe that working with people with different roles makes my deliveries better. i enjoy exchanging ideas, ideating together and learning from my teammates.
i try to make the world a better place by acting locally and truly connecting with people. i believe that the best design is when we truly understand the user's needs and give them a proper and accessible solution.
design aside, i also love making art—ceramics, embroidery, crochet—, blogging about life, learning new things and writing letters to my penpals.
oh, and since i like creating stuff, i made myself a nickname, xis—because i always had to spell my name in introductions ('xis' is how you pronounce the letter 'x' in portuguese!).
